Yes, this eagle picture  was also taken in the wild.  It looks like a studio shot but its not.  After hundreds of hours with an eagle they tend to get use to you.  After a while if you're very careful you can get pretty close to them.  This eagle picture was taken with a 300mm lens on a tripod, using 64 ASA film.
